Royal Treasure Premium Whisky launched

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Himalayan Distillery Ltd is launching Royal Treasure Premium Whisky in the Nepali market to coincide with the Dashain festival. Himalayan Distillery Ltd, which is a subsidiary of Jawalakhel Group of Industries, also produces  premium whisky brands -- Seagram's Royal Stag and Blender's Pride, a statement issued on Thursday said.

Golden Oak and Himalayan Aaila, the only bottled and branded 'aila' -- a traditional Newari liquor -- in Nepal, are the other products by the same house," the statement added. Royal Treasure describes itself on the product label as "... a smooth complex blend of golden Scottish malts and handpicked grain spirits from Nepal.

A deep, full-bodied whisky carefully crafted to give a delightful, lingering finish." The product is available in 750 ml, 375 ml and 180 ml variants are is priced at Rs 1,200, Rs 600 and Rs 300, respectively.
