“It’s got to be the most happening event in the month of July,” said Bikesh Kayastha, creative head and event manager of Positive Vibes. “The band has a large following which enjoyed the full rock and roll show,” he added.
The band managed to get the crowd clapping along to their music, and Mukti Shakya’s infectious stage presence only fueled the show.
“Dalli Resham,” “Dekhdaichhu Ma,” “Chaubandi Cholo,” Kalankiko Jam,” “Samasya Hola” were the easily the most requested and enjoyed numbers at the performance.
“I love Mukti and Revival and I’m there wherever they perform,” said Bikal Paudel, an IT professional who was at The Factory with his friends.
“It was a rocking evening with one of the best rock and roll bands,” said Paudel. “Dalli Resham and Chaubandi Cholo are my favorites.”
Mukti Shakya was all praise for the crowd. “It’s always fun to perform for a receptive crowd who appreciate your work.”

“The crowd was indeed promising at both the venues, and I guess rock ‘n’ roll did its magic,” added Inab Raj Shrestha, the group’s saxophonist.
“It’s always fun when you get to improvise, and the reaction from the audience just makes it that much satisfying,” said guitarist Sunit Kansakar.
The organizers have two more gigs up their sleeves. Cinnamon at Jhamsikhel will be the host for the third event, slated for July 23. And the final grand show featuring Abhaya and the Steam Injuns will commence at Cafereena on Durbar Marg on July 29.
The entrance for the next event is free, and the entrance fee for the Grand Finale will be Rs 250 and Rs 400 each. The latter rate comes with a drink included.
The band will be performing next at Cinnamon in Jhamsikhel on July 23, from 7:30 pm.
