RJP, RPP announce joint regional convention

KATHMANDU, April 14: Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have announced joint regional conventions to finalize the unification of the two parties.



According to Joint General Secretary Keshar Bahadur Bista, a meeting of the Joint Work Performance Committee decided to hold joint convention in all the five development regions to expedite unification of the parties. [break]



The meeting decided to hold eastern regional convention (April 26-27), central regional convention in Lalitpur (April 16-17) and western regional convention in Bhairahawa (April 23-24).



Likewise, the meeting decided to hold mid-western regional joint convention in Nepalgunj (April 21-22) and far-western regional convention in Mahendra Nagar (April 19-20).



Chairman of both the parties will attend the joint convention in all five development regions. Party leaders Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, Keshar Bahadur Bista, Parshuram Khapung, Bhuwan Pathak are set to present working papers on various issues in each of the joint convention.



The unified party plans to hold mass rally in Kathmandu on April 30.
