KATHMANDU, May 21: Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa on Friday said the Maoists should be prepared to facilitate integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants for the formation of national consensus government.

Talking to media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport before leaving for Mumbai on a private visit, Chairman Thapa said the Maoists must return properties seized during the conflict and also agree to prepare concrete grounds to conclude the ongoing peace process. He also opined that the Constituent Assembly (CA) term should be extended.

Thapa added that the Maoist´s readiness to facilitate management of their combatants, return the seized properties and their commitment in action to implement all past agreements will pave way for the formation of national consensus government.

According to his personal secretary Kiran Giri, Thapa will attend the wedding ceremony of his kin in Mumbai on Friday and reach New Delhi on Sunday. Giri said there are no political meetings scheduled during his stay in New Delhi. He will return home on May 24.
