KATHMANDU, March 26: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is necessary to give the responsibility of development to the locals in any area.
Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the completion of the reconstruction project of Bhimsen Temple in Lalitpur on Saturday, PM Deuba said that the responsibility of development should be given to locals. He said that most of the development work has been completed in a good, fast, and quality manner as they were handed over to the local governments.

On the occasion, PM Deuba said that he believed that the development in Lalitpur Metropolitan City would help in broadening the identity of Nepal and Nepalis not only at the national level but also at the international level. The Bhimsen Temple was damaged by the 2015 earthquake.
The temple was rebuilt with the financial support of local businessmen and donors. The Lalitpur Metropolitan City had also provided financial assistance for the reconstruction of the Bhimsen Temple in Patan Durbar Square area. The identity of Lalitpur, known as the Fine Art City, is its heritage. This temple was built about 300 years ago during the rule of Malla King Srinivasa Malla.
