KATHMANDU, Dec 14: The second phase of voting for the post of Nepali Congress President has started. The voting started at 3:30 PM at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu.
Five presidential candidates had contested for the post in the first round of polls. Sher Bahadur Deuba and Shekhar Koirala advanced to the second phase of voting.
Voting underway to elect FNJ’s new leadership
In the first round, presidential candidate Sher Bahadur Deuba got 2,258 votes and Shekhar Koirala got 1,729 votes.
All the three candidates Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi and Kalyan Gurung, who withdrew from the race in the first phase of the election, have announced their support for Deuba.
