Khudkilo inaugurates ‘Climbing with Susmita’ sessions

KATHMANDU, June 8:
Nearly 18% of the 4,000 students interviewed had experienced severe sexual abuse and assault, permanently damaging young children’s prospect for life, informs Khudkilo, a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization of professionals skilled in various fields, who are working together with the vision of ‘responsible youths to represent Nepal’.

Khudkilo partnered with Heartbeat Nepal and Rotaract Club of Baneshwar Royal and organized ‘Climbing with Susmita’, an interactive adventure sport program aimed at reviving the confidence of survivors, orphans and street children in a constructive manner, on Saturday at the Pasang Lhamu Sports Climbing Center in Dhumbarahi.[break]

For three hours, children from Heartbeat Nepal along with the participants from Rotaract Club of Baneshwar Royal as well as other participants were trained by skilled climbers including Everest Summiteers Susmita Maskey who is also the founder of Khudkilo. The money raised from the paid participants went to the ‘Climbing with Susmita’ project, which aims to run climbing sessions every Saturday September onwards.
