“The government is serious on the issue. We are set to arrange effective security measures for the election candidates shortly,” Regmi said Khanal in the meeting.

According a statement issued by the Regmi’s Secretariat, the meeting was focused on maintaining effective security strategy aiming at holding Constituent Assembly election.

Regmi told that security strategy has already been implemented in view of holding CA elections in a conducive environment.

Similarly, the duo discussed on appointing commissioners in the constitutional bodies and ambassadors in the Nepalese missions, which have been lying vacant for a long time due to political squabbling.

“The government has given priority to appoint commissioners in the constitutional bodies and ambassadors in the Nepalese missions,” Regmi said in the meeting.

The appointment of commissioners in constitutional bodies and ambassadors stalled after the dissolution of parliament in May, 2012 as the Interim Constitution makes it mandatory for nominees to these posts to go through parliamentary hearings.
