Shankar, who arrived in Dharan on the last day of his four-day Nepal visit Friday, while addressing a function called Sunaulo Bihani, announced his plan of building 50 schools to uplift the marginalized communities in the far flung areas of Nepal. [break]
He also announced that his organization would provide solar panels to 1,000 poorest and backward household in the remote villages of Nepal.
“I would like to provide solar panels to the poor households, which have no light in the night,” said Shankar. “Similarly, I would like to build 50 schools in the backward areas where people are faced with profound illiteracy,” he added.
Shankar, who was accompanied by a group of Nepalis including industrialist Binod Chaudhari, also informed that the schools and solar panel projects would be implemented through aid from his foundation and Nepali entrepreneurs.
