GAUR, Jan 9: A woman was allegedly murdered for not bringing dowry to her family as per their expectation from her maternal home in Rautahat Saturday.
The 22-year-old Lalmuni Devi Saha of Fatuwa of Piparabhagwanpur-2 was killed by her family for not bringing dowry, claimed her relatives from her maternal side. Lalmuni's relatives from Motihari district of India including her parents, brother and sister arrived Gaur on Sunday, following the unexpected and unnatural death of their beloved one.
Though, Lalmuni's family claimed that she had committed suicide, her relatives (from maternal side) are not ready to accept the claim as they believe that she was murdered.
The body of the deceased has been placed in the Gaur Hospital for a post-mortem and the police are learnt to have been waiting for an autopsy report to further investigate the case.
The police have taken victim's father-in-law Rajendra Saha and mother-in-law Pramila Devi under control, following dubious circumstances with the case.RSS
