DHUNCHE, Rasuwa, May 10: The destructive earthquake has claimed 522 lives in 18 VDCs of Rasuwa district as per the latest update.
Likewise, some 8,500 houses have seen complete damages. Employees have been deployed in villages for the distribution of relief materials including foodstuffs on the basis of primary data, said Assistant Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Gautam Rimal.He said the relief assistance worth Rs 62.63 million would be distributed to quake survivors in villages within a week as the responsible officials are handling the task.
Meanwhile, property worth tens of millions rupees turned into ashes when fire engulfed the store house of Rasuwagadhi customs office. The relief materials kept inside a zinc corrugated shed constructed by the customs office for screening were also destroyed in the fire incident, said Nurpu Tamang, a local of Briddim.
