KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The quake-destroyed Bal Gopaleshwar Temple of Ranipokhari is set to be opened for public on the day of Bhai Tika as per the longstanding tradition, metropolitan officials said.
Bhaitika is the only day in the year that the temple opens. On Bhaitika day, when sisters put a seven-color tika on the foreheads of their brothers at their homes, those without brothers or sisters offer worship at the Balgopaleshwar temple.
The auspicious hour for Bhai Tika this year is 11:55 am on November 9, according to the Nepal Calendar Fixation Committee.
