Speaking at the Biratnagar airport, Rana said, “It is not appropriate to send UNMIN leaving behind the Maoist combatants and weapons in camps.”[break]
He added that although UNMIN should not be kept permanently there must be an alternative to supervision of the ex-combatants and the weapons before UNMIN´s departure.
Coming down heavily on the Maoists, Rana said the decision of the party´s central committee to adopt the tactical line of “people´s revolt” has only added complications to the constitution-writing process.
Rana further opined there was no meaning of the ongoing special session of the parliament.
