Chaudhary was elected as a member of the House of Representatives after defeating the closest competitor, independent candidate Man Bahadur Khadka, by 6,434 votes. Chaudhary has received 24,838 votes. Khadka, his closest competitor, got 18,404 votes. Chaudhary is former Inspector of Nepal Police.
