KATHMANDU, Jan 25: There is a chance of light rain at one or two places in the hilly areas of the country today. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a general influence of westerly winds in Nepal at present.

The weather has been partly cloudy to mainly clear in the hilly areas of the country and foggy in many parts of Madhesh province since morning.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country including Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini provinces today afternoon. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of the country.

Also, there is a forecast indicating the likelihood of light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. This weather pattern is also expected to affect one or two places in the remaining high hilly and mountainous areas across the country.

Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear over hilly areas of the country including Far West, Karnali and Lumbini regions. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
