KATHMANDU, Jan 14: There is a possibility of light snowfall in some places of Koshi and Gandaki today. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial effect of western winds in Nepal.

The weather is mainly clear in the hilly areas of the country, while the rest of the areas are partly cloudy. Most of the places in Terai are foggy.

Similarly, the weather is expected to be mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The weather will be clear in the rest of the areas this afternoon, according to MFD.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The MFD has stated that on Monday and Tuesday, there is a possibility of light rain in some parts of the country.

On Monday, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Koshi and Bagmati and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

There will be rain in some places on Tuesday, while there is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places of Koshi and Gandaki and one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
