KATHMANDU, March 22: There is a possibility of rain in different parts of the country even today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the influence of the westerly low-pressure system and the low-pressure system around Jharkhand in India is currently affecting weather in Nepal.

According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6 am, the weather is partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, while the rest of the area is mostly clear.

The MFD said that the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder/lightning at few places in hilly areas of the country. The MFD officials have also said that there is a possibility of light snowfall in few places of high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

Similarly, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder/lightning at few places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions and one or two places in remaining hilly areas. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
