KATHMANDU, Dec 5: The weather across Nepal is expected to change, with rain and snow expected in many parts of the country on Monday.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather in Nepal is currently influenced by westerly winds. At present, the weather is generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces and partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces.  The weather in the rest of the country is mainly clear.

MFD states that it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of scattered to light rain at a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces and one or two places in the hilly areas of Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi Provinces. There is also a possibility of light snowfall in few places of high hilly and Mountainous areas of the country.

Similarly, it will be partly to mostly cloudy in hilly parts of the country tonight while partly to mostly clear weather in rest of the country. There is a possibility of scattered to light rain at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province. There is a possibility of light snowfall in few places of high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.
