KATHMANDU, Jun 5: A case has been filed at the Special Court against four sfatters of Bir Hospital on the charge of making a fake medical certificate to save a rapist.
The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday filed a case against four individuals including radiographer of Bir Hospital Krishna Prasad Timalsina and Secretary Laxman Aryal, CIAA spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal told Republica Online.
According to Dangal, Timalsina and Aryal helped rape-accused Uddhav Nepa by making him a fake medical certificate for Rs 50,000 kickback which said that he was undergoing treatment while the incident took place.
The anti-graft body had started investigating the case after the defendant Nepal submitted a fake medical report at the Appellate Court.
Timalsina, Aryal, Kedarnath Parajuli and rape-accused Nepal have been charged under the Section 9 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
