The first phase of the program, which will be organized in eight eastern cities under different discussion themes, will be broadcast live using its mobile station, which has transmission capacity of around 25 kilometers. [break]
Apart from the mobile station, the program will also be broadcast from its central transmission from Kathmandu and a local community radio of the city where the program will be organized, said Ghama Raj Luitel, station manager of Sagarmatha Radio.
"Altogether around 10 million people are expected to listen to the programs," Luitel said.
The first program of the first phase will start on October 30 at Bharapur and the theme of the hearing will be natural resources and constitution-writing, he informed and added that Ilam will host the last program of first phase on December 1.
The purpose of the program is to collect opinions of the local people on national as well as local issues and give them a chance to raise their voice at the national level, Luitel said.
