A police patrol team intervened and rescued Sah. Police also arrested three of the attackers. [break]
About 11 persons came to his house at around 8:30 pm and attacked him with iron rods and canes leaving him unconscious.
Sah has sustained deep injuries to his head and back and is currently receiving treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
Superintendent of Police Sarvendra Khanal said all three attackers are from Janakpur. Those arrested are Sushil Sah, Santosh Sah and Samir Jha. Police said they are investigating into the arrested three.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
