For those looking for foot-wears, Bhat-bhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store and Supermarket at Bhat-bhateni and Maharajgunj are the places to be. The stores feature a wide range of branded, non-branded and locally manufactured foot-wears to cater to the need of people from all age groups.
Frustrated at not getting the foot-gear of his choice at a handful of stores in the city, Prashant Thapa, a businessman, finally reached Bhat-bhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store at Maharajgunj. "I had tough time rushing around various stores in the city to buy shoes for myself, my wife and our five-year-old daughter," Thapa said, adding, "It´s hard to find a single place that meets the need of an entire family."
Be it size, color, quality or options, Bhat-bhateni Department Store has it all. These stores offer foot-wears ranging from sports and party shoes to casuals and indoor slippers for every age group.
"Bhat-bhateni is the only store in the country that gives special emphasis on shoes", claims Panu Paudel, store manager, Bhat-bhateni Supermarket Maharajgunj. According to Paudel, the shoe store at Bhat-bhateni is spread over 12,000 square feet while the one in Maharajgunj covers the area of 6,000 square feet. Bhat-bhateni also offers seasonal and festival discounts for its customers. For the upcoming Dashain festival, the stores have decided to offer a discount of 20-30 percent on foot-wears.
The stores features footgears from celebrated brands like Adidas, Baleno, Black and White, Crocodile, Hi-Tech, Prada and Nike to name a few. The store imports all the products from Bangkok, Korea and China.
The shoes at Bhat-bhateni are not only stylish and of high quality but are also affordable. According to Paudel, footgears at the stores have been priced at the range of Rs 300 to Rs 7,000. "Sales of shoes alone make up 10 to 11 percent of our annual sale," Paudel informed.
