Quake victims receive Rs 50,000 as first tranche of cash relief

OKHALDHUNGA, Jan 21: The government has distributed the first tranche of relief cash to the earthquake victims at Gamnangtar and Tar Kerabari VDCs 21 months after the mega earthquake in the district.

The quake victims of remote Gamnangtar and Tar Kerabari VDCs knew no bound of happiness after the government distributed Rs 35 million relief cash them.

Each family of the earthquake victim got Rs 50,000 as the first tranche of the earthquake relief cash.  

Meanwhile, the local administration has launched an integrated mobile camp to provide services related to transference of land ownership, issuance of citizenship certificates and disabled and senior citizens’ identity cards, passport, among others.

Lawmakers Ram Hari Khatiwada, Yagya Raj Sunuwar, Harkabol Rai had reached Gamnangtar today to distribute the relief cash.

Similarly, Chief District Officer Phanindra Dahal had issued citizenship certificates to the people.
