What made you want to participate in the contest?
Ever since my childhood, I’ve always been interested in fashion and the modeling scene here. I knew that to break into the modeling world here would be easier if I had a title. Participating in the contest was good for me. I feel I was groomed well during the training sessions and I worked hard to make it to the top.
What’re you doing at present?
I’ve been modeling in various assignments allocated by Expose Nepal, the organizer of the contest. Though I’ve been doing mainly ramp work, I’m more interested in print modeling. I’m also involved with a group of young models, and we organize charity shows, the proceeds of which we donate to orphanages.

You say you’re interested in social work. What sparked the interest?
My cousin sister is actively involved with many organizations and is passionate about a lot of causes, especially women’s empowerment. So, at times, I would go along with her to visit some of these organizations and help out during events. I realized I like being around children and I want to do whatever I can to help those in need.
What’s next for you?
I’m not someone who plans out the future meticulously. I like to take it one day at a time. Currently, I’m busy with my studies and modeling. After I finish with my graduation here, I would like to go abroad for further studies.
