Pun calls for ethnic identity-based federalism

BIRATNAGAR, Oct. 11: UCPN (Maoist) leader and candidate from the Morang Constituency No 9 for the upcoming Constituent Assembly election, Barshaman Pun, has called on the people to vote for his party so as to establish ethnic identity-based federalism and inclusive democracy. [break]



Addressing a greetings-exchange program organized by the Revolutionary Journalists Association, Morang chapter on the occasion of the Bada Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals here Friday morning, he extended best wishes to all the people.



Formation of a durable government is a must to control corruption and lead the country towards economic progress, he said and urged the rival parties not to misuse 3 M - money, muscle (power) and media- in the election.



Party candidate from Jhapa Constituency No 7 Gopal Kiranti stressed that the party should garner full majority to ensure a republican constitution.
