KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Jagannath Lamichhane, candidate for the Bagmati Provincial Assembly from Constituency 5 (2), has started an innovative new campaign entitled #RunJagguRun. The campaign started on November 6 and will run until November 11, with a target of reaching 30,000 voters.
Through the campaign, Lamichhane is distributing his campaign letter which is also on video (https://fb.watch/gFUK3lFhsO/), where he makes a plea to voters to look beyond party politics and imagine a future for Nepal which builds on its inherent strengths.

Lamichhane said his running campaign seeks to "show the people that leaders must come down to the community level and physically and mentally exhaust themselves for their constituents and their needs, instead of restricting themselves to party offices, fancy cars and houses'
Lamichhane said he also hopes to show that he is urgently seeking change at a 'running pace' and is bringing that energy not only to the campaign but hopes to bring 'running energy' into provincial politics should he be elected.
Lamichhane said the campaign is inspired by the fictional character Forrest Gump's run across the United States through which concerns of a large number of people are raised and addressed. "I hope to also provide a platform for people in the community to discuss their issues and needs and work together to solve those issues," he said.
