BANKE, April 23: Province 5 has advanced into the semifinals of men’s football finishing at the top of its group at the Eighth National Games in men’s football in Khajura, Banke on Monday.
After playing a 2-2 draw against Province 3, Province 5 has reached the semifinals, while the departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Club reached the last four finishing second in the group.

Province 3 took the lead in the game as Dhiraj Tamang scored in the third minute, while Province 5 equalized in the 32nd minute through Dipendra Singh Thakuri. It took the lead in the 35th minute as Sanju Sen scored, while Kushal Shrestha equalized for Province 3 in the 87th minute.
Likewise, Nepal Police Club topped the other group, while Tribhuvan Army Club finished as the runner-up. Province 5 will take on Army, while Police will face APF.
