BUTWAL, July 16: Chief Minister of Province 5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said the province was ahead in terms of budget implementation.
Talking about the contemporary issues at today's State Assembly, Chief Minister Pokhrel said that projects related to the blacktopping of roads would be carried out in order to complete within mid-June. He said, "We are aware that the works begun after mid-June face more problems. Province 5 is in the front as compared to other states to implement the budget." The Chief Minister informed that some areas of Rapti have been inundated, and transport service obstructed due to stream. It was necessary to adopt preparedness and alertness keeping the possible risk due to rainfall in mind, he added. Similarly, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Kul Prasad KC, presented a proposal seeking consideration on the bill designed to make arrangement of State medal.

Discussing the proposal in principle, State Assembly member Surendra Hamal argued that the issues related to sports were incomplete in the bill designed to make arrangement of State medal. Responding to the queries raised by State Assembly members, Minister KC said that efforts were on to develop the culture of respecting the good works being based on contribution.
