BENI, Dec 21: Property worth Rs 1.3 million was gutted when a fire broke out at a four-storey house based in New Road of Beni, the district headquarters of Myagdi on Friday morning.
The District Police Office, Myagdi, confirmed the loss of property including cash worth Rs 270,000 in the fire. As said by house owner Bikram BK, the family came to know about the incident at around 8:00 am as they saw smoke coming out from the room at the top floor.

The police preliminary investigation shows the fire was caused due short-circuit. Gold ornaments and three mobile phone sets were also destroyed by the fire. It was taken under control following police-locals joint efforts for around 45 minutes.
