Process begins to constitute National Supply Company

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The government has constituted a recommendation committee to proceed with the formation of the National Supplies Company as announced by the government in the budget of the current fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The government has constituted a recommendation committee to proceed with the formation of the National Supplies Company as announced by the government in the budget of the current fiscal year. 


The committee is headed by Ram Chandra Bhatta, Chief of Planning and Supplies Department, Timber Corporation of Nepal (TCN) Limited. Forest Minister Shankar Bhandari formed the committee through a ministerial-level meeting, according to Ministry Spokesperson Prem Narayan Kandel.

The government in the budget announced to form the National Supply Company by merging public enterprises National Trading Limited, Nepal Food Corporation, Agriculture Input Company Ltd. and TCN. 


Four under-secretaries from the Ministry of Forest are the members automatically appointed to the committee which is assigned to complete its task within the next three months of its constitution. RSS
