KATHMANDU, May 30: The pro-monarchy protest demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy has disrupted traffic in several parts of Kathmandu, including Maitighar-Mandala, Babarmahal, New Baneshwar and the river corridor areas.



The protest, which began on Thursday, is said to continue until the monarchy is reinstated. The ongoing movement includes participation from parties like Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and RPP-Nepal, among others.

Due to the protest, vehicular movement in various parts of Kathmandu has been thrown into disarray. As a result, many commuters were forced to wait in long queues under the scorching sun.


On Thursday, the protest had taken place mainly in the Ratnapark area.
