KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Demonstrations were held on Thursday against the government’s plan to introduce a Federal Education Act that private school operators say would effectively shut down private schools.
Organizations including PABSON, National PABSON and HISSAN staged the protest, expressing strong objection to some of the provisions of the proposed Bill.

The protest rally, which began at Maitighar, proceeded through Babarmahal and reached New Baneshwor.
