Prithivi Highway disrupted as road depresses at Mauwakhola

GORKHA, July 20: Movement along the Prithivi Highway has been disrupted following the road depression at Mauwakhola.

According to the chairperson of Chitwan’s Ichchha Kamana Rural Municipality, Gita Gurung, the road section at the border of Dhading’s Benighat Roran Rural Municipality and Ichchha Kamana Rural Municipality was depressed nearby a bridge over Mauwakhola.

Chairperson Gurung added that the Prithivi Highway  and Narayangadh-Muglin road have reported landslides at several other places. “Although a bulldozer of the rural municipality has been mobilized to clear the landslide debris, it’s almost impossible to resume the vehicular movement at the earliest due to severe depression at Mauwakhola,” she said.

She further warned the commuters to be cautious during their journey along the highway.
