KATHMANDU, May 8: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was scared by the threat issued by CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Addressing an election rally in Dharan on Saturday, Chairman Oli said that Prime Minister Deuba was scared by Dahal's threat in Chitwan that if his daughter Renu Dahal was not made the winner in the local polls, the country would fall into a disaster.

In the election rally held in Kathmandu on Friday- the day after Dahal’s threat, Nepali Congress (NC) President Deuba had appealed to all party cadres to vote in favor of Renu Dahal arguing that he had nominated her as the mayoral candidate of Bharatpur, claimed Oli.
"Prachanda [Dahal] threatened to push the country into disarray if his daughter did not win," he said. “Yesterday [Friday], the Nepali Congress president made a weak statement in front of people in Kathmandu. Scared by Prachanda, the Prime Minister said that it was not Prachanda but he had nominated Renu Dahal as mayoral candidate,” said Oli.
Chairman Oli also said that he would call on people of Chitwan on Sunday not to vote for Dahal’s daughter. He said, "I am going to Chitwan. I will tell the people of Chitwan, you should not vote for Prachanda's daughter. Do not be scared by Prachanda’s empty threat. What happens if you don’t vote? There is a story of bathing in cold water. That is what will happen,” he said.
