PM Dahal calls Cabinet meeting

KATHMANDU, March 15: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has summoned a Cabinet meeting for Friday evening.

According to the PM’s Secretariat, the meeting is scheduled for 5 PM today.

Previously, the committee investigating gold smuggling in the country had identified several errors in the Central Investigation Bureau’s (CIB) investigation.

As a result, preparations are underway for disciplinary action against AIG Kiran Bajracharya, the Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).

The purpose of the Cabinet meeting is to discuss the implementation of the reports provided by the investigation committee regarding the gold smuggling case, as per the Secretariat source.

The committee recommended disciplinary action against Bajracharya due to significant errors in the investigation related to gold smuggling.

Bajracharya was summoned for questioning by the investigation committee on January 31st.
