Price of Mustang apple decreases

MYAGDI, Oct. 9: Price of apples produced in Mustang district has decreased due to access in transportation after the resumption of the Beni-Jomsom road section.



Business of apples has been increased in Beni, Baglung, Pokhara and the capital with the supply of apples by vehicles. [break]



According to a businessman, the price of apples has decreased for the past few days with the start of supply through vehicles.



Apples were traded at Rs. 170 per kg before Dashain, which were supplied through porters and donkeys.



Dhana Maya Tamang of Kalipool, an apple businessperson, said selling of apples was increased during festival season with the decreasing price.



Red delicious apples and golden delicious apples have been traded at Rs. 100 and Rs. 110 per kg respectively, according to entrepreneurs.
