Prez Yadav authenticates six bills

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: President Ram Baran Yadav has authenticated six bills already passed by the Legislature-Parliament.

This is the first time that the President authenticated the bills after the promulgation of a new constitution.


The authenticated bills include the Appropriation Act 2072, Financial Act 2072, the Act of 2072 to amend some acts on gender equality and ending of gender violence, the act of 2072 to amend or scrape some laws and the Act of 2072 related with lands among others.

According to a statement issued today by Dhruba Raj Acharya, assistant spokesperson of the Office of the President, the bills were authenticated as per sub article 2 of article 113 of the Constitution of Nepal. RSS
