Prez Yadav admitted to Tokyo University Teaching Hospital

KATHMANDU, June 18: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav on Tuesday said he was fine and that there was absolutely no cause for worry with regard to his health.



According to a press statement released by Nepali embassy in Tokyo on Tuesday, President Yadav said this while speaking to members of the Nepalese community at Narita International Airport upon his arrival in Japan for medical treatment after a black spot had been detected in his large intestine.[break]



On the occasion. President Yadav said that he was looking forward to undergoing a thorough health check-up at the Tokyo hospital as medical experts in Nepal had earlier advised him to have further consultations abroad.



President Yadav reached the Narita International Airport this morning by a scheduled flight of Thai Airway from Bangkok. Nepali embassy officials including Nepal´s envoy to Japan Madan Kumar Bhattarai and senior officials of Japan´s foreign ministry were present at the airport to receive the President.



Members of the Nepalese community along with representatives of various organizations based in Japan including President of the Non-Resident Nepalese Association Japan Chapter Om Gurung were also present on the occasion. President was then directly taken from the airport to the hospital.
