Prez visits China's world famous museum

CHINA, Oct 29: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav visited China´s Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses, one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century situated in Lintong, Xian, Shaanxi Province, on Friday morning.



Listed as one of the world´s heritage sites by UNESCO, the museum was opened to public in 1979. More than 10,000 life size terracotta figures of warriors, horses, chariots and weapons arranged in battle formations are the main attraction of the museum. [break]



Welcoming President Dr. Yadav at the museum, officials apprised him about various information related to the museum.



The President, who is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony of Sanghai Expo 2010 on Oct. 31, is leaving for Sanghai today.
