Prez speaks to PM over KC's health

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: President Ram Baran Yadav has drawn attention of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to the deteriorating condition of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a fast-unto-death protesting political interference in appointments at the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.



According to the President´s Press Advisor, Rejendra Dahal, the president became concerned over KC´s health and asked the prime minister to take steps to save the life of the doctor. [break]



In the meantime, the Nepali Congress has also expressed its concern over the deteriorating condition of the doctor and drawn the attention of the government to his demands.
