KATHMANDU, May 3: President Ram Chandra Paudel has emphasized the importance of promoting friendship, love, and harmony to foster global peace. He highlighted Nepal's role as a source of spiritual traditions that unite diverse cultures and civilizations.

Speaking at the consecration ceremony of the newly built Badrinarayan Temple in Ramkot, Nagarjun-7, President Paudel said Nepal's ancient wisdom reflects a deep sense of unity and solidarity. "Our country is the origin of eastern knowledge traditions. These traditions embody the unity of various cultures and civilizations. This solidarity must guide us towards global peace, tolerance, and brotherhood. To achieve this, we must nurture noble thoughts of mutual friendship, love, harmony, and coexistence," he said.

Underscoring that spirituality transcends religion and religion rises above sects, he expressed confidence that the temple would play a vital role in promoting Vedic Sanatan culture and traditions. He also noted that it would contribute to the growth of religious tourism in Nepal.

"As the global race for material development accelerates, peace, order, mutual harmony, and cooperation in society are declining. We witness this in our own communities," he added. "I believe this temple can help build a civilized and cultured society by awakening spiritual consciousness and inspiring a spirit of service to humanity—thereby fostering love, harmony, and peace."
