KATHMANDU, Mar 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is all set to address a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament for the first time after she was re-elected as President. It is scheduled for 4 pm.
President Bhandari is addressing the first assembly of the Federal Parliament in line with Article 95 (1) and (2) of the Constitution, Federal Parliament Secretariat told Republica online.
President Bhandari had addressed the joint assembly of Federal Parliament on March 5 before she was re-elected on March 13.
The joint meeting will be held at the hall of House of Representatives. "The hall can hold all the parliamentarians - 275 from HOR and 59 from National assembly," said Dr Bharat Raj Gautam spokesperson at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
HoR Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara will chair the joint assembly.
