KATHMANDU, March 22: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has reached Dhaka this morning in connection with a two-day State Visit to Bangladesh at the cordial invitation of her Bangladeshi counterpart Md. Abdul Hamid.
Prez Bhandari was received by President Hamid at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, according to a press statement issued by Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka.
President Bhandari was also presented with a 21 Gun Salute in her honour. Subsequently, she also inspected the Guard of Honour.
Today, President Bhandari is scheduled to participate in the ceremony of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, deliver a statement on Nepal-Bangladesh Relations and Bangabandhu’s Birth Centenary, hold talks with the President of Bangladesh, and attend the State Banquet hosted in her honour by the President of Bangladesh, among others.
