President, PM & others greet nation on Dashain

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has extended hearty greetings to all the Nepalese sisters and bothers at home and aboard on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami, the greatest festival of the Nepalese.



In a message given today on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami - 2066 BS, the president said the main essence of the Dashain festival, which is celebrated by the followers of the Sanatana Hindu religion and culture from ancient times as a mark of victory of good over evil, is to increase mutual goodwill, friendship and cooperation. The president said such festivals have made important contributions in maintaining social goodwill, national unity and national identity by linking religious, cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity.



In the message, the president said that the country can not be liberated from the transition unless the peace process gets fullness and the new constitution is drafted, and everyone including the political parties should make restoration of peace and new constitution drafting our main target abiding by the interim constitution in letter and spirit.



Dr. Yadav expressed the confidence that the main political forces will internalize this at least for attaining the goal with cordiality and co-work instead of mutual difference and mistrust.



Likewise, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, on the occasion of the great Hindu festival, extended hearty greetings to all Nepalese sisters and brothers wishing that the day inspire us all to move ahead in the path of truth and duty, with peace, prosperity and good health for all forgetting mutual enmity whether they be at home or abroad.



He said the day reminds us that forgiveness and welfare is the greatest human value against arrogance and struggle, and wished that all the Nepalese be inspired to take the country in the path of progress by maintaining goodwill and friendship on this great day.



Similarly, Rastriya Janashakti Party Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa in his message wished that the day inspire us rationality, power and courage to make the country prosperous in political, economic, social and cultural point of view while maintaining our independence and integrity in a democratic environment.



Likewise, Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) Chairman Surendra Bir Malakar also extended greetings to all the Nepalese on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami- 2066 BS and prayed for inspiration among all political parties for mutual goodwill as well for the economic development of the country.
