President Bhandari offers floral wreaths to statue of King Prithvi Narayan Shah

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has garlanded the statue of  late king Prithvi Narayan Shah.

This morning President Bhandari placed a wreath on the late king’s statue in front of the Western Gate of Singha Durbar, the government seat.

Today, the 301st birth anniversary of the late king is being celebrated across the country. On the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti, the government has also announced a public holiday today.

On the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and RPP Nepal have also organized wreath-laying programs today.
