President administers oath of office to new CJ

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav administered oath of office to the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Anup Raj Sharma at his office on Sunday.

Sharma named for Chief Justice

Justice Sharma will take charge immediately as his predecessor, Min Bahadur Rayamajhee, retired as CJ on Saturday.

Sharma joined the Supreme Court on January 5, 2004 as a permanent judge. He is the first Nepali lawyer to become a judge at the country´s apex court.
