Chief District Officer Sudarshan Dhakal informed that although there were no tarpaulin sheets currently, they were going to supply fast foods as beaten rice, chow-chow and drinking water to the people from Dandagaon, Pheksingtar, Gokule, Banchaur, Salmechaur, Salthara, Milche VDCs. The rescue operation halted at Bankhuchaur VDC on Tuesday for adverse weather would resume today.
According to CDO Dhakal, 273 were killed in the district while more than 1,000 injured and more than 112,000 displaced. As many as 28,000 houses are collapsed, and 18,500 got partial damages.
