All the question papers, answer sheets and other materials necessary for the examinations have already reached the districts, said Deputy Controller at the Office Prahlad Aryal.[break]
A total of 547,165 students are appearing in this year´s SLC examinations that run until March 23. Of them, 430,097 are regular while 117,068 are sitting for the second time as exempted examinees, according to Aryal.
Altogether 1,786 examination centres have been set up for the examinations this year, with the largest number in Kathmandu at 86 and lowest in Manang and Mustang with one each.
The Office will be mobilizing 1,786 centre chiefs and 2,655 deputy chiefs supported by 21,890 invigilators, 7,297 support staff and 19,860 security personnel.
The examinations will cost the office Rs. 512 per an examinee.
Students who have an attendance of 70 per cent and above are only eligible to sit for this year´s SLC examinations.
