Pradhan, a former volleyball player, had joined NSC 29 years ago as a coach. Pradhan had completed his PhD in sports science from Leipzig University, Germany. NSC has established the Nepal Sports Science Academy to study and conduct research on sports with the aim of producing technical and educated manpower for Nepali sports. [break]
NSC registers NSKA
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): National Sports Council (NSC) has registered Nepal School Kabaddi Association (NSKA) as the 136th association.
Nima Lama is the president of the 18-member executive committee of NSKA, while Sangita Hamal, Jagannath Tiwari, Anil Kumar Jha, Padam Karki, Sitaram Awasthi and Sagar Bhusal are the vice-presidents. Laxmi Narayan Baidya is the general secretary while Himal Ranjit is the secretary of the executive committee. Rajesh Shrestha is the treasurer of the committee. The newly-formed association has decided to conduct an invitational kabaddi tournament within three months.
