Pradhan, who recently quit as the editor-in-chief of Karobar business daily, took over from Kishore Nepal as the chief editor of the newspaper amid a function at the Nepal Republic Media (NRM) central office in JDA Complex, Sundhara. [break]

The NRM is the publisher of the newspaper along with its two other sister publications, namely Republica English daily and Sukrabar weekly. NRM Managing Director Binod Gyawali, Director Shova Gyawali, CEO Raju Nepal and Republica’s Editor-in-Chief Kosmos Bishwokarma were also present on the occasion.
At the function, NRM Managing Director Gyawali thanked outgoing editor Nepal for all his works. Assuming his duty, Pradhan said he will be committed to bringing about qualitative changes in the newspaper and stressed on collective effort to achieve the goal. Pradhan had worked as group editor at NRM during its inception period. Likewise he had also worked as the editor-in-chief of The Kathmandu Post.
